Yes indeed. I’ve always dearly loved screen porches and haven’t had one since I was 6… 100 years ago more or less…;-) So being confined here when we had planned a morning walk on the beach is really no problem. Frogs and mushrooms seem to heartily agree…;-) hue

One star beachside
I wish I could say we were having a delightful brunch on the rooftop veranda overlooking a white sand beach. But the one star across the street was do-able, the beach is public so we have plans for a long walk in a bit after checking out the 5 star donut shop down the street!Continue reading “One star beachside”

Avery Island Jungle Gardens
Bradley and I visited Avery Island LA, summer 2011. A salt dome island in the bayou. Home of the Tabasco factory and McIhenny’s pet project the jungle gardens. The original gardener McIlhenny was gifted with a 1000 yr old Buddha for which he built this beautiful shrine and garden. A truly beautiful place. What is it? Think “tube haggis.” But substitute alligator for beef, rice for oatmeal, and Tabasco for bland. I gave mine to B and stuck to grilled oysters…;-) hue
